Trip was actually 600km almost exactly but I accidentally turned off tracking on the return trip. Finally got to visit the The Torrance Barrens Dark Sky Preserve. Unfortunately I did so during the day time but at least I finally got there in some capacity. The road through there is terrific. Very little traffic (for me anyway), and the entire road - easily 10+ km worth - has you constantly turning like a never ending chicane. The photo clearly features Walkers Point Marina where I had to pick up some boat parts. Swimming off the dock is allowed but the folks at the marina were surprised at my question, as apparently this is not common. I guess when you're on this lake most people have their own waterfront dock to swim off of...a dock that probably costs more than my house...
Earlier in the trip, I visited the site of the Ontario Provincial Water Ski champinships near Dundalk. The map photo of the lake (most western part of trip) shows it to be very swamp-like, however, when I was there it was crystal clear and beautiful - not a weed in sight and with a slalom course right down the middle.
